Anguilla’s beaches are among the most beautiful in the Caribbean — each with its own rhythm and charm. From quiet coves perfect for solitude to lively stretches lined with beach bars and music, all are within a short drive of Maison Hibernia. Our neighbourhood has a variety of beaches.

Island Harbour Bay (Walking distance)

A calm, sheltered bay steps from the villa. Watch the fishing boats return, swim in the clear shallows, or enjoy a cocktail at Falcon’s Nest with your feet in the sand.

Savannah Bay & Junk’s Hole (10–12 minutes by car)

Long, wild, and windswept perfect for beachcombing, solitude, and dramatic coastal views. End your walk with lunch at Palm Grove Beach Restaurant, a beloved family-run spot serving lobster, ribs, and Johnny cakes.

Shoal Bay East (10 minutes by car)

Often listed among the world’s best beaches. A mile-long stretch of powdery white sand and turquoise water lined with beach restaurants and loungers. Swim, snorkel, or spend the day moving from cocktails at Elodia’s to music at Gwen’s Reggae Grill.

Captain’s Bay (15 minutes by car or coastal hike)

A remote and untamed beach reached by a scenic coastal trail. Bring drinks and snacks — you may have the entire beach to yourself. When the sea is rough, the waves are breathtaking to watch.

Sandy Hill Bay (5 minutes by car)

A quiet, gentle curve of sand protected by a small reef — ideal for morning swims and peaceful afternoons.
